Ohisashiburi.
It's been a long time since I posted an entry. How are you?

Okay, I think almost every fans of K-POP know about SM Ent's idols and they have officially opened its multi-purpose cultural space, SMTOWN at COEX Artium, on January 14, 2015. SMTOWN at COEX Artium is composed of SMTOWN STUDIO, a virtual space offering visitors a glimpse into the real educational experience of SM artists, SMTOWN LIVErary CAFÉ, and SMTOWN THEATRE, featuring a large-scale Panavision screen where visitors can enjoy a mix of holographic and live performances.  It's a heaven for SME fans. As you have known, my favourite idol is TVXQ who is under SME so when I went to Seoul last time, one of my itineraries were going to SMTOWN Coex Atrium.

Actually, SMTOWN Coex Atrium is located right next to the Coex shopping mall which is easily accessible through the subway. The nearest train station/subway is Samseong station. If you are from Seoul Station, take the Line 4 (Blue color) head to Sookmyung Women's univ and transfer at Sadang station. It's only 6 stations away  and around 17 minutes. Then you take Line 2 (Army Green Color) head to Bangbae and get off at Samseong station (only 6 stations away and took 14 minutes) then take Exit 5 or 6. The ticket price is 1,550 won. After you exit thru Exit 5 or 6, you can see a big board of SMTOWN Coex Atrium right in front of you, it's easy to find.

When you see the big board, take the escalator and turn right, there you can see the entrance to the SMTOWN Coex Atrium. If you are a big fan of EXO, there is a EXO standee right beside the entrance, you can take picture as many as you can because it's free. Too bad, there is no TVXQ (sob).

SMTOWN Coex Atrium have five floors in total.
The 1st Floor is a welcome Lobby, not much here except for the idols' banners.
The 2nd Floor is SUM. It's idol merchandise shop selling idol goods, souvenir and lifestyle items picked by the SM idols themselves. I want to buy TVXQ's snapback but it's soldout! Almost all TVXQ's goods were soldout I was crying....literary.

The 3rd Floor is SMTOWN Studio. It's a place where we can try idol's makeup, clothes, photo, MV, recording, training etc, basically experience to be the real artist with the help of profession staffs. I didn't go there because you need to make a reservation prior to use. Hmm.

The 4th Floor is SMTOWN LIVErary Cafe. This is my favourite place of all the floors in Coex. Why? because it's offers a music lounge (you can pick your 10 favorite songs on the jukebox), enjoying the music while having some TVXQ's cupcakes from the SMTOWN cafe which sells a variety of dessert including ice creams, popcorn, cup cakes, chocolate and drinks with Idols' logos. There is also display of the idols' awards.

Last but not least is the 5th & 6th Floors which is SMTOWN Theatre. If you want to watch the hologram concert, this is the place. The hologram theatre "School OZ" are performed by Max, Xiumin, Luna, Seulgi, Suho and Key. There is also a photo box, hand printing & 3D printing zone and a trick art photo zone. I tried the photobox. It's free anyway except if you want to print the photo, you have to buy for 5,000won for each photo. I bought two best photos from the photobox after trying several poses with TVXQ's members (you can take as many photo as you want, no charge).

If I don't have another schedule on that day, I can hangout here all day but yeah, I have to go to 85st cafe. Oh right, if you want to pay for the desserts at SMTOWN LIVErary Cafe, be patient. Because the line up is too long. And go get the SMTOWN Coex Atrium handbag for only 100 won.
